We have the world to live in on the condition that we will take good care of it. And to take good care of it, we have to know it. And to know it and to be willing to take care of it, we have to love it. - Wendell Berry
Wet Knot Farms is a family farm run by Ian and Rachel Harding in Marietta, SC. I took these photos a few months ago for Travelers Rest Here, and Clint Keels, a guest contributor for TRH and friend of the Hardings wrote a story about them. I had the honor of going over to the farm on a pretty warm summer evening, and capturing them walking around their farm in all the magical light. I think the above quote from one of my favorite authors, Wendell Berry, perfectly describes Ian and Rachel. Watching them lead their family through the flowers and vegetables and pointing out lady bugs and peppers to their kids was so good. Plain and simple…just so good. Clint writes much better than I, so if you have a moment, please read their story here.
